The place
A set of two pastoral cabins (one old, one new) located at 1,700 m altitude in the Savignac valley, east of Bourbourou, in the Haute-Ariège. Cabin occupied by the shepherd from June onward, open to hikers in winter (4 sleeping places). Facilities: fireplace, firewood, stove (keeps it at 18°C inside when it's 0°C outside), solar lighting.

No marked trail on the IGN map. Access via red markers from the Jasse de Girey (Najar valley), or in winter via Prat Mau (extra elevation gain).

Haute-Ariège, Savignac valley, close to the Pic de Bourbourou.
