The place

Unguarded hut at 2020 m in the Queyras massif (Hautes-Alpes), accessible by 4x4 via a forest track from the GR 58. Shutters and windows missing. Very basic interior described as a "bunker": concrete slab and stones for seating, only a small bed base and a wooden table as furniture. Outdoor fireplace visible but destroyed inside — no usable hearth. Water from the stream upstream, toward the Col de Furfande, about fifty metres away. Barbecue area outside.
