Cabane du Vieux Châtaignier: A Rustic Refuge in the Wild The Cabane du Vieux Châtaignier is a small, well-maintained stone cabin with solid walls and an intact roof. Although it has no door, it offers effective shelter from the weather. For solo hikers, it allows sleeping directly on the floor. Water access is also possible thanks to the streams "le Trévezel" and "le Bonheur", located 500 metres on either side of the cabin. Location The cabin lies south of the GR62, at the junction of the D986 and the paths through the Bois de Camprieu. Cost and Funding No information available.
