Cabane du Mont Lozère

The place

Beautiful stone building roofed with lauze slate at 1460 m on the Mont Lozère (Cévennes National Park, core zone). Fitted with shutters. Interior: picnic table with benches, a fireplace that draws well thanks to its depth but doesn't heat much, broom. Water point (a stream) about 100 m up the forest track. According to recent visits: a few lauze tiles missing causing leaks, broken windows, graffiti on the walls, but still usable as a shelter.
