With a table, 2 benches and a fireplace, it offers a sound shelter for a stopover in nature. However, no equipment is provided for spending the night. Access and Location To reach the cabin, take the road from Espezel towards Escales. After 5 km, a forest track appears on the right, marked by a sign "Maquis de Picaussel". Follow this track for 1.2 km, then turn left for 1.5 km. The cabin is on the right, slightly elevated, at a crossroads. Environment and History The Cabane du Maquis de Picaussel was one of the hideouts used by the Resistance during the Second World War.
