Cabane du Liantran

The place

Old pastoral cabin restored in 2019 at 1824 m in the Béarn (Pyrénées-Atlantiques), by young people from Pau during work-integration projects organized by the Maison de la Montagne and the Pyrenees National Park. With the help of a Compagnon du Tour de France, the framework, the vegetated roof, the door, and wooden sleeping platforms were rebuilt. The Liantran cirque shows traces of old pastoral activity (walls, low walls, dry-stone "leytés" for cooling milk) and small lakes at 1824 m.
