The place
Pastoral building at 2050 m elevation in the Belledonne massif, reached from Fond de France via the GR toward the Sept Laux. Main section reserved for shepherds in summer: don't count on it for an overnight stay. The right-hand door opens onto a storeroom with a bed platform (4 spots on mattress) often occupied by the shepherd's gear, so unusable during the grazing season.
