The place
Simple cabin of the Swiss Alpine Club, Bienne section, at about 1310-1320 m on the Jura ridge above Les Prés-d'Orvin, within the Chasseral regional park (canton of Bern). Accessible on foot only. Built in 1917, it has 35 beds spread across two common rooms and five dormitories, ideal for overnight stays, camps and private parties. Simple meal service and a large panoramic terrace overlooking the Alps. Staffed on weekends year-round. One of four SAC Bienne cabins.
