Cabane du Col des Nou Fonts

The place

Former "orri" (dry-stone hut) at about 2652 m on the border ridge between France and Spain, near the sanctuary of the Vall de Núria (Catalonia). Originally very low-ceilinged, allowing two people to lie down inside without comfort, no door originally. Now collapsed — reduced to a pile of stones offering no shelter. Access from Núria on the Spanish side via the GR 11 straight to the pass, or from Prat-Balaguers on the French side according to maps.
