Cabane du col de Bostan (Bossetan)

The place

Small stone cabin at 2,290 m on the Swiss side of the Col de Bostan (France-Switzerland border, Aiguilles Rouges/Chablais massif). Capacity of 2 people: small room with a table, 2 benches, a suspended sleeping platform. No stove (gone). Minimal facilities: small shovel, broom, dustpan, foam mattress (August 2020), two blankets (2025). Door opens outward in winter — snow clearing ensured. Door reported broken in April 2025. Bring water before the rocky terrain — few options at this altitude except melted snow (dirty in summer).
