The place

Regulations and Environmental Protection The refuge lies within the boundary of the Grand Ventron Massif National Nature Reserve, where overnight stays in a tent, vehicle or any other shelter are prohibited, under Article 20 of decree n°89-331 of 22 May 1989. This regulation also applies to the Wintergès, Blancs Murgers (side 88), Pionniers and Bockloch (side 68) chalets. However, comments from 2019 and 2020 indicate that the stove is unusable because it fills the hut with smoke. Access and Safety The refuge is located near Lac de Kruth-Wildenstein, reached via an alpine ascent trail. Entry is free, but please respect the rules to avoid disturbing local wildlife.
