The place

Sleeping capacity: 7 Places on mattress: 7 The 2 separate buildings are fairly identical: 1 room on the ground floor, 1 "loft". About 4 places on mattress in each, upstairs. 4 places in the lower cabin, 3/4 in the upper cabin, in addition to the remaining floor space available. Each contains: 1 stove, table and benches. Located in the forest: no problem finding firewood. Terrace set up in front of the lower cabin, with a picnic table and a view of the Gd Armet. No water nearby, except as snow in season; the fountain is much further down. GSM network (Orange) Generally good reception, especially from the small terrace in front of the cabin. 1h30 from the Col d'Ornon, the trail starts on the forestry management tracks along the streams, then once at the bottom of the combe, the cabins are signposted and the trail climbs in switchbacks. 1h from the Cabane de la Combe, to the south-east. The path between the cabins and the shoulder below "Petit Renaud" (shoulder at 2280) becomes faint higher up in a fairly steep scree slope and requires some care. ONF - RTM
