Cabane des Maurets (Maourets)

The place

Very beautiful pastoral hut at 1923 m in the Catalan Pyrenees, 1 km northeast of the Cabane de Saubé, not shown on standard maps. On a barren platform on the western ridge of the Pic Maurets. Fireplace and water point. Nice terrace for sunbathing. Closed to hikers: exclusive pastoral use. Last documented visit: October 2009.
