The place

Hut at 1474 m in the Vaud Jura (Parc Naturel Régional Jura Vaudois, Switzerland), named "Creux Devant" on topographic maps. Open year-round. At the top of the Combe des Bégnines and at the foot of the Mont Sala (10 min walk), about 2 h from the Noirmont and the Creux du Croux. Access via La Cure, Le Creux du Croux, the Bourguignons cemetery and Creux Devant, or by climbing the whole Combe des Bégnines or Combe des Amburnex, passing a col at 1342 m at the eastern foot of Mt Sala. Used for meals, breaks, or in case of bad weather or emergency. Described as "a must of the Vaud Jura."
