The place

Hut at 1294 m in the Béarn (Aspe valley, Pyrénées-Atlantiques), commune of Bilhères. Very minimal amenities: no table or chairs, just a fireplace and about 4 sleeping places on a mezzanine, without mattresses. Very clean and well maintained (March 2024). Occupied during the summer grazing season; closed-off private section, livestock pen and trough. Access via the D934 (past Louvie-Juzon) toward Bielle, then D294 toward Bilhères to the Houndas chapel; at the chapel, left to the next car park.
