The place
Staffed refuge at 2810 m in the heart of the Aiguilles Rouges massif, municipality of Evolène (Valais, Switzerland). Staffed from the last weekend of February by Bernard Maître, known as "Boum". Exceptional setting: larch forests, alpine lakes and panoramic views of the Pennine and Bernese Alps and Mont-Blanc. Welcomes beginner hikers and experienced mountaineers alike.
