The place

Sleeping places available: 4 Places on mattress: 4 Hunter's shelter near the alpine herder's cabin: It has 4 places (comfortable mattresses) and a new stove that lights quickly and works well. The rest of the equipment is basic, almost nothing for cooking, but comfortable and well insulated. As of late 2024, the chalet is no longer accessible but is again in spring 2025: the building intended for the shepherdess or shepherd is separate from the cabin. From Saint-Martin-de-Belleville, go up the road towards Le Châtelard then take the track towards the staffed Gittamelon refuge.
