The place

Not much to expect from this orry judging by the "aerial" photo taken from the balcony path coming from Refuge de Malniu. If there was any doubt, it's settled about the quality of this one — better to push on to [->5525]. From Meranges: You can continue by vehicle to a parking area above Girul, at the 1st switchback of the road, then a track that leads to Refuge de Malniu by road (paid parking at the end). A path, first on the left bank of the stream, leads to the Pleta d'Engorgs; you don't cross the stream, you continue climbing a little to reach the cabin.
