The place

Private hut in perfect condition at 1900 m in the Parpaillon massif (Ubaye, Hautes-Alpes). Part of the ground floor (about a quarter) is accessible to hikers, but the hut is occupied by a shepherd during the summer grazing season and is therefore not accessible to hikers in summer. Many dogs present, including Pyrenean mountain dogs and Anatolian shepherds, caution advised. Inside, a mezzanine with mattresses (2 people per level) and a stove that appears to work.
