The place

Sleeping spaces planned: 15 11/2014: refuge reopened after restoration and improvement works. This refuge holds the record for footfall in the whole of the Vercors ... It's a one-room stone building with a stove and a small table, and 10 spaces on a sleeping platform, everyone else sleeps upstairs on the floor. The [->1182], 100m to the south, is easily dry or covered in snow The loft is not always open (+10 spaces) INVENTORY: As of January 2025: a broom, a shovel, a saw. Almost everyone arrives from the Col du Rousset in under 2 hours, via the ridges. You can also come up via Chamaloc (Die road), the path along the side below these ridges and the Pas de Chabrinel, but this should not be attempted in snow, as it is narrow and steep. In any case, be careful approaching the refuge: it sits a bit in a hollow and the paths arriving from all directions become 'vague'Parc Regional du Vercors (OT Die)
