The place

Staffed refuge at 2825 m in the Moiry valley, Anniviers district (Valais, Switzerland), owned by the CAS Montreux section. Modern comfort thanks to a 2010 extension. Total capacity 104 places in staffed season: 72 beds in the old refuge renovated in 2010, spread across small dormitories with toilets and sinks on the upper floor, and eight rooms of four in the new annexe with toilets, sinks and showers on the upper floor. Staffed season from mid-June to mid-September, refuge open and maintained until end of September.
