The place

Very clean shepherd's hut at 1230 m in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques (Béarn, Pyrenees). Occupied by a shepherd from May onward; a section open outside the summer grazing period. Interior: 2 small tables, 4 chairs, a stove, no bunk beds. Concrete floor. Water from a fountain needing purification tablets. The nearby Ypy hut is now just a pile of stones. Accessible from the Col de la Coundre at 1100 m.
