Unstaffed cabin at 1008 m in the Jura massif (municipality of La Chaux-du-Dombief, Jura department), listed on the IGN map and on the Nordic ski trail map of the Grandvaux resorts. Building in good condition with a working stove and nearby firewood, fitted with 2 tables and about ten chairs; no water on site. Contact: La Chaux-du-Dombief town hall, 03 84 60 14 11. Notable location on the central Jura plateaus, Grandvaux-Frasnois area, on the edge of the characteristic Jura reculées and lakes (Lac de Bonlieu, Lac de Narlay, Cascades du Hérisson nearby). Accessible year-round — a popular stop for cross-country skiers and snowshoers in winter. Typical central Jura forest setting: high-elevation beech-fir forests, hedgerow meadows, local trails linking Comtois villages. Emblematic wildlife: roe deer, wild boar, Jura chamois, Eurasian lynx, capercaillie.
