The place

No trail visible on the IGN map. This building is visible on aerial photos. Made of wood, open, with basic comfort, used mainly by hunters. It is reached from the Rivier d'Allemont by parking at the exit towards the passes and going down to the right along a steep, small tarmac road to the stream. From there, cross it and you find a good trail leading to the small Monvoisin dam, bypassing the track. From this point it becomes less obvious. You need to skirt the structure on the left, following it, to find a trail marked with painted circles on trees and rocks, climbing steeply through the forest. A few exposed and slippery sections through small rock bands are equipped with cables. You emerge into the open in an area that becomes increasingly rocky and rugged, where it is not always easy to follow the waymarks. Further on, you must cross a gap in the rocky ridge on your left, then follow it to reach a small plateau where the hut stands. A complete guide with photos can be found on the Altituderando website.
