The place
Metal box partly hidden by stones, located at 2380 m at the western end of the Esquerdes de Rotja, in the Vallespir (Pyrénées-Orientales). 8 places on two sleeping platforms (4-5 each). Table and 2 steel benches, a few blankets. Door that closes poorly and is noisy in the wind. Freezing in winter (frost on walls), no fireplace. A good position to continue toward the Costabonne.

Getting there
From Mantet, follow the GR10 to the Cabane de l'Alemany, then leave the GR10 down the valley floor to the Porteille de Mantet; ridge path to the left heading east (GRP markings). Water to the southwest, 5 min away.
