The place

Hut at 715 m in the Voironais hiking area (Chartreuse, Isère), at the place called Chasselard. Fine view of Mont Blanc, the Aravis, the Chartreuse and Belledonne. Unstaffed, priority given to hunters but open to hikers, horse riders and mountain bikers with permission: serves as a shelter and picnic spot, with no sleeping facilities. Part of the Isère "Relais Cyné" (hunting relay) network. Tables for 25 people and an oil stove. Fires and barbecues forbidden nearby.
