Cabane de la Limasse (SUISSE)
The place
We're in Switzerland...so nothing is left to chance or neglect. Superb log-built forest shelter, with stove, table, benches. Benches outside too. No sleeping arrangements: OVERNIGHT STAYS ARE NORMALLY FORBIDDEN, EXCEPT in case of necessity (particularly in winter) due to exhaustion, cold, or nightfall. A municipal notice specifies the conditions of use of this hut. An exemplary structure: take care of it! IGN 1:25000 mapping, sheet 3425 OT, Pontarlier. On the edge of the forest road climbing from L'Auberson toward the Col de l'Aiguillon, about 2 km ENE of the Cabane de la Joux. The name is borrowed from the Joux (forest) de la Limasse, itself named for its proximity to the farm that gave it its name. Commune of Baulmes (VD)
Getting there
Le long de la route forestière qui monte du hameau de L'Auberson vers le col de l'Aiguillon, à environ 2km à l'est-nord-est de la cabane de la Joux.
The setting
Refuge forestier suisse en fuste, bien entretenu, équipé d'un poêle, d'une table et de bancs. Situé en forêt dans le massif du Jura, commune de Baulmes (canton de Vaud), près du hameau de L'Auberson.
