The place

Unstaffed hut at 1350 m in the municipality of Savignac-les-Ormeaux (Haute-Ariège, Pyrenees), managed by the town hall. Access from Savignac-les-Ormeaux: a 7 km dead-end road toward the Najar valley, car park at the end of the road, then a yellow-marked trail along the stream. A single room with a fireplace, capacity for 6 people in both summer and winter, wood and water. Two bunks, table, shelves, shuttered window. Along with the Refuge de Prat Redoun, one of the most comfortable huts in the valley.
