Cabane de la Hille de l'Etang (Ars)

The place

Hut at 1695 m in the Couserans (Ariège, Pyrenees), owned by the APPMA of Aulus (Angling and Aquatic Environment Protection Association). New roof and working stove with a flue on the side of the hut. Capacity of 8 people in both summer and winter, wooden sleeping platforms, fireplace, water nearby. Neighbouring the Cabane du Troun d'Ars a little further up on the left bank of the valley, with a yellow-marked trail. Hike from the spa village of Aulus-les-Bains through the forest toward the Cascade d'Ars, passing pretty lakes including the Hille de l'Étang. Near the Étang de la Hille de la Lauze and the Étang de Las Touetos.
