Cabane de la Grave
The place
Sleeping spots: 6. Recently fully restored cabin, very comfortable, well insulated as it's entirely lined in wood, with a spring nearby. - large table with two benches - two-level sleeping platform that can hold 6 mattresses - a few utensils, candles, sponge, survival blankets - shovel with no handle and brooms - clothesline, thermometer. The two-part door, which opens outward, sits at the top of a three-step staircase but can get blocked by snow. It's held shut by two latches, one of which is missing and the other a bit stiff to unstick — a trekking pole will come in handy to open the door. It stays shut by default, no need to lock it while you're staying in the cabin, just remember to put the latch back in place when you leave. No Orange or Free mobile network. 180m south of the GR10 and the GRP Tour du Carlit and Tour des Pérics, off the marked trail although there is a path that passes in front of the cabin. The cabin sits among fir trees, at the foot of a small rock band, but it's easily visible from the bottom of the valley. Communauté de communes des Pyrénées catalanes
