Cabane de la Collada de Meners

The place

Stone hut, half-buried, with no facilities at all, dirt floor; can still serve as a refuge if you get stuck between Sorteny and Coms de Jan. Water: no water point in the immediate vicinity, take precautions if you plan to stop here... Vall de Sorteny: from the Vall de Sorteny car park above El Serrat, follow the valley all the way up, passing [->5409], to the northern passage above the Collada de Meners; descend a little and you'll come across the hut. Vall de Ransol: instead of going up to the Coms de Jan refuge, at the end of the road, head NW toward the Collada de Meners (passage north of this pass), and you'll come across the hut just before the pass.
