Cabane de l'Ouillat

The place

Cabin at 1610 m at the junction of three paths, on the edge of a forest (Vallespir, Pyrénées-Orientales, France). The site consists of a small cabin and a large stone shelter (orry). The cabin is occupied by a shepherd in summer; outside the summer grazing season it is open and in good condition: small table, chairs, benches, a small wood stove in one corner, bunk beds for 4 people (2 above, 2 below). The large orry is always open and in good condition: small hearth and a large sleeping platform covering the whole floor area. Water source 100 m below, forest nearby. About 1 h 30 walk from Prats.
