Mountain Refuge Parenthèse: A Natural Retreat in the Heart of the Pyrenees The Refuge de Montagne Parenthèse, nestled in the heart of the Pyrenees, offers an authentic experience in harmony with the surrounding wild nature. Situated at an altitude of 2,000 metres, this refuge is a true haven of calm and serenity. Accommodation Description Capacity: 4 sleeping places available. Layout: 4 places on mattress, fixed table, stools, and fireplace. Use: During the summer season, the refuge is used by a shepherd and is therefore unavailable from June to the end of September. Supplies: You need to bring your own wood up, as there is no fuel available nearby. Water Treatment: Water from runoff or the pond must be treated due to the presence of livestock. Trail Information Routes: Access from the Crêtes de l'Isard (via the GR10) to the north or south. A route is possible from the Berdoulas valley (to the north-east) starting from the Ressec, although the trail is intermittent, rocky, and hard to follow. Caution: the area is frequented by bears. Environmental Respect Waste Management: Visitors are asked to respect nature and take their waste with them. Awareness: Awareness campaigns are carried out to preserve the local flora and fauna. Cleanliness: Shepherds work to keep the site clean despite its remoteness. Practical Information Opening Period: From early June to the end of September. Booking: Mandatory online, due to high demand during the summer season.
