Cabane de l'Echarasson

The place

Hut at 890 m near the Pas de l'Echarasson in the Vercors (Isère), 20 minutes from the church car park in Saint-Julien-en-Vercors heading toward the "Porte du Diable". No longer exists: the hut burned down. According to additional information, the Echarasson was never really a refuge but private property, and the hut was burned because it was dilapidated with a roof threatening to collapse.
