The place
Stone pastoral cabin with a mono-pitch roof, in good condition, at 2,040 m altitude in the Iberian Peninsula (Cerdagne, Pyrénées-Orientales), on the marked trail linking Porté-Puymorens to the Lac du Lanoux. Also named Cabane de la Coume d'Orlu. Made up of two sections: the right one (reserved for the shepherd) with a table, two benches and a fireplace, capacity of about 6 people; the left one, open, with a fireplace and a clean concrete floor, capacity of about 4 people. Small chest (out of reach of mice) with candles and condiments. Very cold in winter; the left section heats up faster but the fireplace draws poorly with the door closed — leave it open.
