Cabane de chasseurs de Pomaray

The place

Hunters' cabin at 1320 m in the Dévoluy / Trièves (Isère). About 200 m past the "Pomaray" hiking sign towards Chatel, and 100 m before the drivable forest road. Not to be confused with the neighbouring "Baraque des Gardes" (marked "Abri" on IGN maps), also in ruins. From Longueville-Les Brachons-Le Réservoir: a bit more than half an hour. Fine view over the Trièves (and Mens); the trail passes between two cliffs towards Chatel.
