Cabane de Campcardos

The place

Small stone cabin at 1950 m in the Campcardos valley (Cerdagne-Capcir, Pyrénées-Orientales), wrongly marked as a shelter on IGN and OTM maps: now closed to the public and reserved for the shepherd. Formerly had a fireplace, wood storage, and water for 4 people. Access from Porta (1506 m) via a narrow passage under the railway to a parking lot near the Carol, then a 1h30 to 2h climb up the valley.
