The place
A cabin at 1658 m in the Aure valley (Hautes-Pyrénées), in the municipality of Beyrède-Jumet-Camous, near the former village of Camous (625 m). A hiking and snowshoeing destination reached from Nistos-ski. The Camous area has about thirty marked routes totalling ~250 km of trails. A simple stopover for hikers and snowshoers passing through, in a setting of classic forest typical of the central Pyrenees.
