Cabane de Caillaous

The place

Very fine hut at 1885 m in Béarn (Pyrénées-Atlantiques), fully renovated recently. Located above the trail, behind a knoll, at the foot of the Banasse slope and the Pic d'Arri. Wide wooden sleeping platforms on a mezzanine (2 × 2 people) and one small extra platform; capacity of 5 people summer and winter alike, but little floor space besides. Occupied by shepherds during the grazing season.
