Cabane de Bovinette

The place

Unstaffed cabin at 1640 m, owned by the Ski-Club Martigny (Valais, Switzerland). Capacity 15 beds, open year-round (summer and winter). Wood stoves in the kitchen, outdoor dry toilets, no running water indoors. Ideal for family or weekend stays. Hikes to the Génépi and the Pointe-Ronde from the doorstep. Summer access: about 1 hour's walk from Les Assets (end of the forest track). Winter access: about 2 hours' ski touring from the village of Borgeaud. Rates: SCM/AMIB members CHF 10/night, others CHF 20/night, children under 5 free, ages 5-16 at 50%, group rate CHF 200 for 10+ adults.
