Cabane de Bassello
The place
Sleeping spots: 6 Renovated hut. Wooden raised sleeping platform. - 5/6 spots on the sleeping platform, - Wood stove, - Glazed windows, - A bit of space in front of the sleeping platform. Catalonia, Val Ferrera: Alins, Areu, then a long, more or less rolling rocky track leads to the Terminus de la Molinassa parking area, 15 min from the Vallferrera hut. From there, descend to the first switchback before the final climb to the parking area and take the path that meets and crosses the Noguera de Vallferrera stream; the path continues on a gentle climb and, after a junction to the north, reaches the Cabane de Bassello, on the way to [->5345]. You can also start from much lower down, at the Pont de la Farga 1450m (1st parking after Areu, signpost), a trail along the right bank of the Noguera de Vallferrera leads to the junction mentioned above.
Getting there
Depuis Alins ou Areu (Val Ferrera), suivre une piste caillouteuse jusqu'au parking de Molinassa, puis descendre légèrement et traverser le torrent de la Noguera de Vallferrera avant de remonter en pente douce jusqu'à la cabane, au nord d'une bifurcation sur le chemin menant au refuge de Baborte.
The setting
Cabane pastorale en zone de montagne, dans le Parc Natural de l'Alt Pirineu, sur le versant occidental du Serrat de Costa de Lari, au bord du Barranc de Baborte, sur l'itinéraire vers le cirque de Baborte.
