The place

Open hut at 1650 m, owned by the commune of Cier-de-Luchon (Haute-Garonne, Comminges). Capacity of 10 people summer and winter alike, uninsulated, fireplace, wood, mattresses. Equipment: broom, pressure cooker, table, benches, stools, saw, grates, wood stored beneath the sleeping platforms. Rainwater only, needs treating. Fireplace with average draw — place the wood at the back of the hearth to avoid filling the hut with smoke. Access from the hamlet of Montamajou (Cier-de-Luchon) via a well-waymarked path.
