The place
Unstaffed communal hut at 1,430 m on the Ourdinse plateau, in the Aspe valley (Pyrénées-Atlantiques). Sleeping upstairs on a mezzanine floor, no mattress. Fitted with a table, benches, chairs, crockery and a stove. Water available at a trough to the east. Open in winter but very likely occupied by the shepherd in summer.
