The place
Small observation shelter perched at 1430 m in a fine tree overlooking part of the Saint-Ruph valley, in the Bauges massif (Savoie). A basic wooden structure that blends into the landscape. Access from the Chalet de la Servaz towards the Col d'Orgeval: the shelter is about 15 minutes from La Sarve, in a small clearing, just past a fork between a 4x4 track and the small path descending back into the valley. A small wooden ladder leads up to the platform, where two benches let you enjoy the view seated. Listed on refuges.info among the unguarded huts of the Bauges massif (Bauges massif, not the Pyrenees).
