Cabane d'Auruzan

The place

Open cabin at 1620 m in the Sabarthès (Ariège). Occupied by the shepherd from June 1 to October 1, who kindly leaves it open to passing hikers in his absence. Capacity 2 people on mattresses (very tight sleeping space). Access from the Siguer car park at Bouychet: south then southeast up along a stream through a gorge via a paved trail to the Pont de la Peyre, then right on an ascending traverse to the flat area where the cabin stands.
