Cabane Cortal Rousso

The place

Unstaffed cabin at 2080 m in the Parc naturel régional des Pyrénées catalanes (Pyrénées-Orientales), near the village of Porté-Puymorens and the Lac du Passet. Recently renovated in 2025: repainted walls, concrete floor, 3 chairs, broom. Spring water fed by a 15 cm diameter pipe 8 m from the refuge. Access from the Col du Puymorens: take a path heading northeast towards the Pic de la Couma d'Or, then branch off right after 3 min onto the path passing behind the farm — about 1 h. Free access, first come first served.
