Cabane de la Bécasse
The place
A wood-and-cob cabin on stilts, built by a youth work camp in 2016, open to everyone year-round. Isolated but with no heating: bring a stove, as fires are forbidden. It has 2 single beds (4 to 5 places possible), single-glazed windows, and no door. Dry toilets 20 m away. During hunting season (late September to late February), it is recommended to avoid access on weekends. Bivouacking possible nearby. Access from Auberive at the entrance to the village of Praslay (path on the left, then 800 m further, a small path up the hillside).
Getting there
The setting
