The place

Planned sleeping capacity: 1. Places on mattresses: 1. Adequate insulation. A few stoves and a grill for grilling. Inside, 2 tables and benches, plus folding hiking chairs. CAUTION: the wooden decking in front of the fountain is reportedly slippery. Added by Claude Mauguier, visit of 12/13 July - from the Col du Grand Cucheron, an easy walk along a forest road, say roughly 2 km. - or from, say, Le Bourget en Huile. From there it's straightforward on all maps, but various "tracks" or "paths" shown no longer exist or are impassable. So, to keep it short, ignore the tracks branching off to the left of the "Col du Champet" trail, until a post marking the Baraque à Michel, which you reach and pass until you meet a good forest road (the Champenet one, not the Champet one!) at around 1,360 m. From there descend about 1.5 km and scan through the foliage to spot the cabin, to which no trail descends except one made by deer or foxes. :P The person known as "Gerbier" who restored this cabin, with a local company?
