Mountain Refuge "La Baladosa": A Haven of Peace in the Heart of Nature The "La Baladosa" mountain refuge, nestled in the sumptuous landscapes of Andorra, is a true sanctuary for lovers of nature and mountains. With 10 sleeping places available year-round, this solid stone building, typical of Andorran refuges, will give you a warm welcome. Layout of Places and Equipment 10 metal bunks in the left-hand part of the refuge, with a stove to keep you warm at night. Required equipment: mattress and sleeping bag for optimal comfort. 3 metal bunks in the right-hand part of the refuge, reserved for the shepherd but accessible in his absence, offering 13 places in total. This section is equipped with a table, a bench, a fireplace, a broom/shovel, and a first-aid kit. Water Supply The refuge is supplied with water via a direct catchment, but in case of malfunction, a pipe will guide you to the stream flowing from the Basses del Siscaro ponds, located 150 m south of the refuge. Management of Refuges in Andorra Each spring, the refuges are inspected and maintained by the Andorran authorities, guaranteeing a consistent standard of quality. Wardens regularly check their condition and cleanliness, as part of rigorous government management. Special Offer: Refugis Passport Each Andorran refuge has a Refugis Passport, allowing hikers to collect stamps as they pass through. Present this passport to the National Tourism Office after completing a specific route, and receive a certificate as well as a gift in recognition of your achievements. Access to the "La Baladosa" Refuge To access the refuge from the Val d'Incles, a vehicle track up from Soldeu is possible as far as the Pont de la Baladosa (1830 m). The road is closed from mid-June to mid-September, 9am to 6pm, at the Pont d'Incles, so an early start is recommended. Follow the signs to reach the refuge, located a few minutes' walk after crossing the stream on a footbridge. For any further information on the Andorran refuges and their locations, please consult the complete map available on the Departament de Patrimoni Natural website.
