The place

Planned sleeping places: 2 A hut dating from 1982, in very poor condition. A fireplace, a sleeping platform that isn't flat, no door, sticks placed to keep animals out. A dirty blanket is inside, and can serve as a curtain for the doorway at night. Holes allow a stick to be inserted as a curtain rod ;-) GSM reception is perfect here. From Tavascan, drive up the tarmac road heading north towards the ski resort. Park at Quanca, where a track continues into the valley and where the tarmac road starts climbing. Continue on foot along the track heading north, up to 1680, at a switchback to the right, where a sign indicates a horizontal trail to the left. After 10 min, a footbridge crosses the stream to reach the Pleta Palomera. The hut is located 200m to our right, at the top of the grassy area. Tavascan Tourist Office.
